One Daily Cleaning Not Enough

DOS issued a violation notice to landlord for not cleaning 18 inches into the street in front of her building. Landlord objected to the violation. The ALJ ruled against landlord and fined her $50. Landlord appealed, claiming that she swept every day at 5:00 p.m. when she got home from work and that the building was near a busy commercial area. ECB ruled against landlord. Landlord must keep the area in front of the building clean. The fact that there was debris there earlier in the day showed that one cleaning per day wasn't enough.
