Nonrenewal Notice Didn't Identify Current Occupant

LVT Number: 9210

Landlord sued to evict tenant corporation for nonprimary residence. The nonrenewal notice stated that tenant's primary residence was in another state. Tenant argued that the nonrenewal notice was defective because it contained the name of the corporation---not the name of the actual occupant. The court ruled that the nonrenewal notice was defective. If landlord sues to evict a tenant corporation for nonprimary residency, landlord must name the actual occupant, not the corporation, in the nonrenewal notice.
