No Further Delay of Eviction

LVT Number: #23639

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court. Landlord got a judgment of possession, but eviction was delayed to give tenant a chance to pay the back rent. Tenant requested a number of extensions from the court, and landlord signed at least three more settlement agreements giving tenant more time. When the court refused to give tenant any further extensions, he appealed and lost. The lower court's decision was reasonable given tenant's failure to meet the clear payment terms of the repeated settlement agreements.
