No Attorney's Fees to Landlord or Tenant

LVT Number: 14190

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. The court ruled for landlord in part. Landlord and tenant then both asked for an award of attorney's fees. The court ruled against both sides, and they appealed. The appeals court ruled that neither landlord nor tenant was entitled to attorney's fees. Landlord was, however, entitled to prejudgment interest for the back rent owed under the terms of tenant's lease.
