MCI Rent Hike Granted for Ancillary Work Done with Patio Installation

LVT Number: #25394

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on a new front entrance/patio/walkway and new granite flooring in the lobby and hallways. The DRA ruled for landlord but disallowed certain additional costs. Landlord appealed and won. Landlord had removed old flooring and a wall base to prepare the area for the installation. Old lighting had to be changed since it was beyond repair, and the area was painted when the work was completed. The DHCR found that the additional work was related to and done with the MCI installation.
