Maid Service Was Provided to Tenant

Tenant complained of a reduction in services. He claimed that landlord reduced or discontinued maid service to his apartment. The DRA ruled against tenant. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant claimed that he got maid service five days a week from 1989 to 2001, got no maid service from 2001 to early 2004, then got maid service once a week starting in May 2004. Landlord provided records showing that it had provided maid service at least once a week, which complied with the Rent Stabilization Code.

Also, landlord showed that tenant refused to give it a key so that maid service could be provided when tenant wasn't home. The DHCR found that landlord was providing the service and that the complaint was properly dismissed.
