Lease Period Missing

In its 1996 annual apartment registration, landlord didn't fill out the section stating tenant's current lease period. Tenant asked the DHCR whether this made landlord's registration invalid. In an opinion letter, the DHCR said no. While tenant could file a challenge to a defective annual apartment registration, the result would probably be a DHCR order directing landlord to correct the registration.
