Leaky Faucet

LVT Number: 13583

Tenant complained of a reduction in services. The DRA ruled for tenant and reduced his rent. Landlord appealed, claiming that it had repaired a leaky bathtub faucet in tenant's apartment, and if it continued to leak, this was a minor condition that didn't warrant a rent reduction. The DHCR ruled against landlord. A continuing leak from the faucet isn't a minor condition because it wastes water and may cause damage to the tub.
