Landlord Rewired 80 Percent of Apartments

LVT Number: #22954

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on rewiring. The DRA ruled against landlord because no subfeeders or risers were installed. Landlord appealed and won. Two of the 11 apartments had risers, panels, and kitchen duplex outlets replaced within the past two years and didn't need new wiring. Otherwise, subfeeders were installed building-wide with the MCI. Landlord had rewired at least 80 percent of the 11 apartments and therefore could collect an MCI rent hike for all but the two apartments that were previously rewired.
