Landlord Proved Elevator Violations Removed

LVT Number: 9412

Yonkers landlord applied for MCI rent hikes for upgrading the elevator. The DRA granted the application, and tenant appealed. Tenant argued that there were outstanding building violations for the elevator, and that elevator service hadn't improved. The DHCR ruled for landlord. A follow-up inspection by the DOB showed that all violations had been removed, so landlord was entitled to a rent hike.
