Landlord Not Responsible for Tenant's Slip-and-Fall

Tenant sued landlord for negligence, after she slipped and fell while walking down the apartment building staircase. The court denied landlord’s request to dismiss the case without a trial. Landlord appealed and won. Landlord wasn’t responsible for tenant’s injuries. Tenant claimed that she slipped and fell while descending the staircase but was unable to identify the cause of her fall.
