Tenant sued landlord for negligence, after she slipped and fell on a wet substance on the landing of an unlighted stairwell. The court ruled against tenant after a jury trial. Tenant appealed and lost. The jury fairly decided that the stairwell landing where tenant slipped and fell was in reasonably safe condition at the time of tenant's accident and landlord wasn't responsible.
