Landlord Must Add Tenant's Wife's Name to Renewal Lease

The wife of rent-stabilized tenant complained that landlord refused to add her name to tenant's renewal lease. The DRA ruled against her because she didn't respond to an agency request for additional information. The wife appealed and won. She claimed that she didn't understand the DRA's request because she didn't speak English well. She also submitted a notarized statement from tenant stating that he didn't object to adding her name to the renewal lease. Landlord was directed to add the wife as a co-tenant on tenant's renewal lease.
