After a trial, a jury found landlord 100 percent at fault and awarded the child $500,000 for future pain and suffering. Landlord appealed and lost. The jury found that there was an unsafe condition in the apartment that caused the child to have cognitive problems due to lead poisoning. The finding was supported by the evidence presented at the trial.
