Landlord Fixed Double Parking Problem

LVT Number: 16100

Tenants complained of a reduction in garage services at the building. They claimed that there were double parking problems. The DRA ruled for tenants and reduced their rents. Landlord later applied for restoration of rents based on restored services. The DRA ruled against landlord. Landlord appealed, pointing out that it hired a towing company to remove illegally parked cars, that it posted notices and sent letters to tenants warning them that they would be towed for parking violations, and that there was no longer any problem. The DHCR ruled for landlord and restored the rent.
