Landlord Discriminated Against Prospective Tenant Based on Familial Status

Landlord appealed the decision by the State Human Rights Commission that landlord discriminated against prospective tenant based on familial status and which awarded tenant $5,000 for mental anguish. The court ruled against landlord, finding that the Human Rights Commission decision was based on substantial evidence. And the amount of the award as compensatory damages was reasonable.
