Landlord Didn't Make Agreed Upon Repairs

LVT Number: 10843

Tenant sued landlord to get repairs. Landlord and tenant entered into an agreement. Tenant later claimed that landlord made no repairs, and he asked the court to hold landlord in contempt of court. The court ruled against tenant, and tenant appealed. The appeals court reopened the case and sent it back for trial on the issue of contempt. Tenant claimed that the repairs made by landlord as a result of the 1993 agreement didn't correct the water leaks. Whether tenant denied access for repairs was an issue to be raised at trial.
