Landlord Didn't Give Reason for Ending Section 8 Tenancy

LVT Number: 11948

Landlord sued to evict tenant, claiming that the tenancy had ended. The court ruled against landlord, and landlord appealed and lost. Landlord claimed that tenant was month-to-month tenant and that he'd sent tenant a 30-day termination notice. But tenant was a Section 8 tenant, so the tenancy could only be terminated for certain reasons. Landlord didn't claim any reason for ending the Section 8 tenancy, so the petition was defective and had to be dismissed.
