Landlord Didn't Give Former Tenant Itemized Statement of Damages

Landlord sued former tenant for unpaid rent and property damages totalling $5,000 after tenant moved out. Tenant claimed that the apartment developed mold and other conditions shortly after she moved in. When she moved out, tenant claimed that the apartment was vacant and clean. Tenant admitted owing back rent totalling $2,950 and said landlord could apply security deposit toward that. Landlord claimed thattenant still owed for repairs done after she moved out.

But landlord provided only an estimate and never gave tenant a written, itemized statement as required by GOL Section 7-108(1-a)(d) and (e). So landlord wasn't entitled to any additional amount from tenant.
