Landlord Corrected HPD Violations

LVT Number: 19362

Landlord applied for 2004-2005 maximum base rent (MBR) increases. The DRA ruled for landlord. Tenants appealed and lost. They claimed that landlord had not fixed rent-impairing HPD violations concerning rodents in the building courtyard and other vermin in the building. Landlord claimed that the few HPD violations still on record had been corrected. Landlord submitted documentation from a pest control company and a sworn statement from an engineer that these conditions had been fixed.
