Landlord Can't Get Tenant's Suspended Section 8 Payments

Landlord sued NYCHA for the amount of tenant’s Section 8 housing assistance payments suspended by the agency. The court ruled for landlord, but NYCHA appealed and won. Landlord failed to serve a timely and proper notice of claim upon NYCHA. In addition, landlord showed no actionable misconduct on NYCHA’s part in connection with its decision to suspend tenant’s benefits.
