Items Not Listed in Tenant's Complaint

LVT Number: 8848

Tenant complained of reduced services, claiming that tiles were missing in the bathroom, and that bedroom windowsills required repair. A DHCR inspector found that the bathroom tiles needed re-grouting and the windows were drafty. Based on the inspector's report, the DRA ordered a rent cut. Landlord appealed, arguing that the items described in the report didn't match tenant's complaint, and that all conditions tenant complained about had been corrected. The DHCR agreed and ruled for landlord. The rent cut was revoked.
