Grandson Rarely Visited Tenant

LVT Number: 10190

Landlord sued to evict rent-controlled tenant's grandson after tenant died. The court ruled for landlord, and grandson appealed, claiming he had lived with tenant. The appeals court ruled against grandson. The court didn't believe grandson's testimony---he had no documentary proof or witnesses to support his claim. On the other hand, the managing agent and two longtime neighbors stated that grandson visited tenant only on rare occasions.
