Fine Reduced for Corrected Violation

DOB issued a violation notice to landlord for not maintaining an elevator. Landlord protested. The ALJ ruled against landlord and fined it $500. Landlord appealed, claiming the penalty should have been reduced. The violation notice stated that landlord didn't maintain the elevator's skylight and deflector sheath. But landlord showed that an opening in the skylight was repaired and waterproofed before the hearing date. ECB ruled for landlord and reduced the fine to $250.
