DSS Joined in Case

LVT Number: 16008

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Tenant asked the court to join DSS in the case. DSS paid tenant's rent. DSS mailed checks to landlord at the building, but landlord's office was in the building basement, and DSS repeatedly left out the word ''basement'' in the address when it mailed checks. So landlord often didn't receive rent checks paid for tenant. The court ruled for tenant. DSS should be joined in the case so that they could correct this error and pay tenant's rent.
