Coping Stone Replacement Was Related to Roof Installation

LVT Number: #27847

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes, based on the installation of a new roof with related masonry, insulation, and new coping. The DRA ruled for landlord in part but disallowed the cost of removal and replacement of coping stones, the refurbishing of metal railings, and fire escape repairs. Landlord appealed and won, in part. The work on railings and the fire escapes was ineligible repair work. But coping stone replacement was done to weatherproof the top of the parapet below the coping stones, which was directly related to the roof installation.

So the cost of that work was added to the total MCI cost.
