Common Area Kitchen Service Discontinued

LVT Number: #20551

Tenants complained of a reduction in building-wide services in 2007. They said that in 2002 landlord stopped providing cooking fuel in the building's community kitchen. The DRA ruled against tenants. Tenants appealed and lost. Tenants waited five years to complain that landlord no longer provided access to the community kitchen. Since tenants waited more than four years, there was a presumption that the service in question was minor. Tenants each had a functional kitchen in their apartments. The community kitchen was meant for group use on special occasions.
