Chronic Nonpayment Settlement Agreement Violated

LVT Number: 18673

Landlord sued to evict tenant for chronic nonpayment of rent. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court by which tenant agreed to pay rent on time. Tenant violated the agreement, and landlord sought eviction. The court ruled against landlord. Landlord appealed and won. This was the second chronic nonpayment case that landlord brought against tenant. Tenant consistently didn't comply with the payment terms agreed to, and admitted that it would be ''impossible'' for him to comply with the terms of the settlement agreement.
