Apartment Used for Drug Dealing

Landlord sued to evict tenant for drug dealing in her apartment. Tenant claimed that she wasn't involved and didn't know her son was doing this. The court ruled for tenant and dismissed the case. Landlord appealed and won. Tenant then appealed that ruling. The appeals court ruled against tenant. Landlord showed that the drug dealing by tenant's son took place over a period of time and was the subject of community complaints. Tenant either knew or should have known that this was taking place in her apartment, yet allowed this activity to continue.
