Tenant sued landlord for the refund of his security deposit and other sums based on the fact that the apartment he rented wasn't in habitable condition at the time his lease started. The court ruled for tenant, and landlord appealed. The appeals court ruled for landlord, in part, but reduced the refund to the amount of the security deposit only.
